Does a question mark in the URL affect ranking?

Generally speaking, URLs, those with a question mark in them, affect the ranking of website in search engines, before moving ahead, we should first understand the concept of such url.

A URL that has question mark within it, called dynamic URL. Earlier, such kinds of URLs were not indexed in database of top search engines. But gradually, google started it and then yahoo and more.

Today both google and yahoo index URLs with question marks but the percentage is very low of such URLs. If we talk about the average percentage then the data that comes is really shocking only 5% on google and 3% on yahoo have included such dynamic urls.

Another prospect is that google does not rank higher to dynamic URLs as compare to other URLs. So now you have clear view about dynamic urls, I’d like to advise you that avoid dynamic URLs because somehow your website rank may be suffer with these question mark attached URLs.
