How To Spot A Bad SEO
Company
One should be educated in order to select the best positioning
service, know what to expect, and what the minimum requirements
are for successful search engine optimization.
A professional search engine marketing company will optimize the
page making it friendly to both people and search engines while
making it relevant to the keywords agreed upon. They will work on
keyword research, change tags, copy, possibly links and other code
on the page. They may recommend to remove splash pages, frames,
Flash navigation, JavaScript links, or other things that interfere
with the user experience and hinder search engine spiders.
A bad SEO provider can be spotted taking into consideration the
following:
No one can guarantee a top ten position for the phrases that are
really important, although one can put a lot of work in to try to
make the site successful; it's simply down to Google, to decide
which sites are the most worthy of placing highly. SEO Company
promising to do so may firstly come and tell the phrase or phrases
that they will optimize for. They may sound useful but in many
cases they will specifically choose key phrases that they know are
not likely to have much competition, so they have little work to
prove their case. Secondly, and just as common, there is a scam
where they will fax you a sheet asking for ten keywords that you
wish to be placed in top ten results for. Once a cheque with the
filled-in fax is sent they ask you to wait up to two months to see
the results. Of course, within two months their company has
disappeared.
Some SEO-frauds may say, they have a special arrangement/official
partner with Google that can guarantee a good placement. There
simply is no such thing. Google (and other search engines) are
rightly proud of the independence of their search results, a
search ranking cannot be bought or agreed with Google. The system
is automatic, and we have to work hard to earn a high place.
A company may offer an automatic submission process to 100+ search
engines. But the fact is there are less than ten major search
engines that most sites need to submit to, a few more if one wants
to do business in China or other areas, but even these require
careful approach to ensure content is valid for the area or your
submission will be pointless. In this case one must check the
small print, wherein it can be found that these 100 search engines
consist mostly of sites never heard of, and some of the most vital
and important search engines are not included. Many of these
smaller search engines that you get automatically submitted to end
up doing nothing more than scanning your new website looking for
email addresses to add to their spam email lists.
Some SEO companies may take money saying the site needs to be
resubmitted every week/month. For a well-designed site there is
simply no need for this. Google will keep visiting your site
regularly and there is no need to try to push it to visit your
site more often.
